Simple Steps to Being a Better You

January 20, 2020

For many of us, we roll out at least one resolution every January. Our resolutions range from something as specific as losing 10 pounds by February first to something as generic as being kinder to those around us. Some focus on personal betterment while others focus on making a difference to the environment. Making a New Years’ Resolution has become a time-worn tradition. Even though up to 80 percent of these resolutions fail by February, we want to encourage everyone to keep resolving to make improvements wherever you can.  (E)The real Beauty is within and when you make these resolutions, you are really trying to be the best you can be.

If you made a resolution and failed on day 10, don’t consider it a failure. Embrace that you succeeded for 10 days and acknowledge that a 10-day improvement is a 10-day success. Don’t give up; start again and strive for 11 days of success. Whatever attempts you make to be the best version of yourself is a step in the right direction. Even the smallest changes and achievements can help immensely. Imagine how good you’d feel if you have a weight problem and lose a couple pounds or an acne problem and experience some clearing or even wrinkles that have been smoothed. These things, no matter how small give you a better feeling about yourself. And with that feel-good feeling, you gain confidence and feelings of self-worth. That confidence can propel you to making yet another improvement in your life, and the domino effect begins.
